Centro de Pensamiento HOUDING Participates in Operational Symposium at CACOM-6

In a productive gathering at Combat Air Command No. 6 (CACOM-6) in Tres Esquinas, Caquetá, Centro de Pensamiento HOUDING took part in an operational symposium focused on the historical evolution and strategic significance of this unit for national security.

Representing Centro de Pensamiento HOUDING was General (R) Pablo García, who shared a detailed perspective with military personnel regarding the impact of this base on the development of Southern Colombia.

A Legacy of Service and Operational Evolution

During the symposium, the discussion revisited key moments that have defined CACOM-6, highlighting its transformation from its origins as the “Puerto Boy” Southern Air Base in 1933 to its establishment as the “Tres Esquinas Air Base” in 1939.

General Pablo Garcia emphasizes the importance of these historical milestones in understanding today’s industry challenges:

    • Regional Support: The unit has historically served as a vital pillar for the development and connectivity of the region, supporting both local growth and essential aerial services.

    • Infrastructure Progress: Continuous improvements in facilities and logistical capabilities have significantly boosted the base’s operational efficiency over the years.

    • Institutional Impact: The unit is a benchmark for humanitarian efforts and collaborative work with local communities and authorities to protect the territory.

    • Modernization: By consistently integrating new capabilities and advanced systems, the command remains at the forefront of operational standards and mission precision.
